We have had alot of our families coming up and the oldest kids are going to be heading off to college in the fall. Rena and I have been able to watch these kids grow up.
The latest family to come across the Border to visit us is the Klees family. They have been fishing with us since the youngest made her first trip when she was 2 years old, 12 years ago. Tracey is the oldest, then Lauren, and Nicki. Roger, the dad, offered the girls a trip because Tracey is off to college in the fall and it will only get harder to get schedules in line as they grow older. Roger offered the girls a trip somewhere together. Hawai, the Islands, where ever. He was pleasantly surprised that they all wanted to come to Canada. Amik Outposts has been their destination for many years and many lakes. This time they chose to go to Cobham Lake, in the Morley cabin. They even bring the dog along.
It is very nice to see families, especially all girls no less that enjoy coming up here to enjoy the solitude and peacefulness of the North. I have two girls, and take pride in being able to show them how to hunt and fish as well. Some people may call Roger crazy or brave going to an Outpost with his three daughters but they have more experience in the bush than most.
Anyways, it is nice to see and I hope that they are lucky enough to find a boyfriend or husband who enjoys the outdoors.
